How many minor tournaments do I need to play in a Major*?
No new member having joined in the current year shall be eligible to play in a major tournament (Member-Member, Member-Guest, President’s Cup, Club Championship, or any other tournament designated by the Executive Committee as a major tournament) unless he has participated as an eligible player in at least five regular tournaments. A new member with a GHIN number will have to play at least five regular tournaments before being eligible to play in a major tournament.

If you hit a ball into the pond on the third hole or seventh hole, you should tentatively use the drop circle.

has not been found is in a water hazard (whether the ball lies in water or not ) the player may under penalty of 1 stroke:
A. Play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball

B. Drop a ball behind the water hazard , keeping the the point at which the
original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard directly between the
hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped . With no limit to how far behind
the water hazard the ball my be dropped ; or
C. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a
lateral hazard , drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club - lengths
of and not nearer the hole than (I) the point where the original ball last
crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of
the water hazard equidistant from the hole . When proceeding under this rule ,
the player may lift clean his ball or substitute a ball . We mostly have lateral
hazards which are red staked the yellow staked is water hazard !
